Dead on Sound is an award winning sound studio working across film, television, animation and advertising. To us sound is not a technical stage, it is part of the storytelling process.

Starting in the humble abode of a disused morgue (yep, really “Dead on”.. punny yeah?) we have since grown into custom built studios in Brunswick East, home to an amazing network of filmmakers, creatives and ratbags, where sound, picture and story are developed together.

We collaborate closely with directors and creative teams from early development through to final delivery, always providing a strong emphasis on aural storytelling rather than as a finishing layer.

Our work has been recognised with four Australian Screen Sound Guild Awards, including Best Sound for an Independent Feature Film, peer recognition from within the craft that reflects the standard we hold ourselves to on every project.

We have a scalable and high bandwidth team, established industry partnerships and can provide high end deliverables for theatrical and streaming platform releases to a global audience. Our custom built Dolby Atmos mix room, dedicated ADR studio with remote workflow capability via Source Connect, and enterprise grade content security infrastructure are designed to meet the technical and creative requirements of major studios and streaming platforms globally.
